Yes, I’m that guy who likes to keep things simple. With respect for everyone’s way of experiencing art or letting their creativity take its course. I prefer to make loose sketches in a quick way, expressively, without thinking too much. I have to say that this relaxes me and gives me a certain satisfaction.
So I’m not the one who will create large detailed works of art that are finished to perfection. So when drawing I do sign off on examples, but quickly make it my own. I try let my creativity run wild and don’t worry, for example, if perspective is not according to the rules of art.
This way of loose sketching may raise eyebrows, but to me it feels natural, relaxing and fun.

Do you have to invest a lot for this? Actually, no. As a fountain pen enthusiast, I just use my inked fountain pens and, for the examples in this post, use soluble fountain pen ink. I used a brush to activate the ink on the paper. By applying ink and combining it with water, you get a nice effect. You keep repeating this process until you have achieved sufficient contrast. Let the sketch dry and finish it with the final details. Really don’t worry about mistakes. Use these as an opportunity and get creative with them.

Just keep it simple and go crazy. Mix the craziest colors and let your imagination run wild. If, for some reason, it were to turn into a fiasco… Throw it away and start over.
The examples in this post are from a series of lessons I followed on Skillshare by Toby Haseler.
Do you think this could be something for you? Just give it a try I’m sure you love it 🙂
